Absolutely. Data privacy and institutional security are our foundational priorities. All Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is stored exclusively within your school's closed circuit on a local on-premise edge server* or rigorously anonymized on our secure servers before being passed to any 3rd party LLMs**, completely eliminating the risk of data leakage.

We don't have dedicated AI or IT staff in our institution. Is this a problem?
Not at all. Cortex is designed as a fully managed, turnkey solution. Our specialized engineering and deployment teams manage the entire lifecycle—from initial infrastructure setup and system integration to finalizing the platform for daily use. Furthermore, we provide comprehensive onboarding and continuous educational workshops for your academic staff to ensure seamless adoption.
How long does it take for set-up and integration?
Timelines vary depending on the chosen tier and your existing infrastructure. However, a comprehensive rollout of the Campus Standard plan—including edge server installation, standard LMS integration, and faculty onboarding—is typically completed within two months. We work closely with your administration to ensure minimal disruption to the academic calendar.
Are there performance reports for each student issued by the platform?

Depending on your institutional requirements, Cortex automatically generates comprehensive weekly, monthly, or customized progress reports. How does the AI handle handwritten submissions or essays?
Cortex features versatile multi-format support. Students can submit their work digitally via laptop or smartphone, or easily upload photos of their handwritten solutions. Our sophisticated OCR engine digitizes the handwriting before evaluating the open-ended responses with over 95% accuracy—comparable to, or higher than, the standards of expert examination boards.
Can the system detect plagiarism or AI-generated answers?
Yes. Integrated academic integrity control is a core feature of Cortex (available on Campus Standard and Enterprise tiers). Our algorithms not only assess student knowledge but deeply analyze submissions for traditional plagiarism as well as identifying text generated by third-party neural networks, ensuring absolute academic honesty.
How is the pricing structured between Setup and Ongoing Support?
Our investment model is divided into CAPEX (Implementation) and OPEX (Maintenance). The one-time implementation fee covers software licensing, edge server provisioning, and integrations. The annual OPEX fee is dependent on your usage intensity. For example, a typical maintenance tariff supporting 90 students and 10 teachers (with 10 mock exams per student) costs approximately HK$ 137,000 per year.
